Traditional Woodland Crafts-Around the Gardens
By Elenor Hoad:
A fantastic array of traditional crafts are available in the gardens
this weekend. While I was looking around I saw sweet pea seed
planting, some amazing vegetables grown in Stourbridge, willow
weaving- make your own snail to take home, a pole lathe and metalwork.
Birmingham definitely needs more of these traditional skills to be
revived- lets make things again! Nick Wale from Forest Schools
Birmingham told me “Our passion is bringing these crafts back to our
city and making them accessible to people”. Lets hope the sunshine
lasts…
