The festival is launched on Friday evening with the Smooth Sounds concert on Centenary Square stage. Compered by Smooth Radio’s Tammy Gooding it will include performances from I/O Earth, Jake & Elwood Blues and reggae star Macka B. The unique Project Pigeon will be overseeing a ‘pigeon liberation’ in Victoria Square, and other venues across the city centre will be showcasing an eclectic range of music, performance poetry, art exhibitions and other entertainment.
