A dynamic and engaging Afro-Brazilian art-form to watch and participate in, capoeira is a fusion of dance, martial arts, acrobatics and trickery, performed to a live percussion. A challenging and fun activity, it also increases flexibility and co-ordination whilst sharing an insight into another culture and language.

Founded over 2 years ago, CDOB already has around 200 participants and recently held its own international festival, with guests and visitors from around the globe.

Whilst capoeira is CDOB’s main focus, their workshop will give a taster of maculele, a traditional warrior dance performed with sticks; as well as instrumental accompaniment from Samba percussion that compliments hip twisting Samba dancing.
