Driftwood

Driftwood do not cover songs – they take them apart and rebuild them and give them ‘The Driftwood Sound’. Although they describe ourselves as playing Folk and Acoustic music, our arrangements contain influences from classical, jazz, blues, church music. So you might hear a quote from Pachabel or Bach in a folk song, or an Elvis Presley standard played in an African folk style, or a pop song played as an Irish reel. Playing familiar songs in unfamiliar ways is what we do.
