Drumvoice Orchestra

Drumvoice Orchestra is a Birmingham-based community drumming band, playing the powerful rhythms of West Africa & Latin America. Led by Sarah Westwood, this 15-piece outfit deliver an energetic performance guaranteed to inspire! DVO aim to reach a wide audience, inspiring appreciation of and attracting participation in diverse cultural arts. The music is exciting, engaging and interactive, drawing the interest of a wide range of people of all ages! DVO perform regularly at charity fund-raisers, community and council events and children’s festivals. As well as smaller gigs, the band have been involved in large scale projects collaborating with 150-piece choirs, and played venues ranging from street fairs to Symphony Hall. Director Sarah Westwood has been teaching drumming for nearly twenty years within education and for community and business organisations through sister company, Drumvoice.
