Fordante

Provide a taster of the new music that we compose and perform. The music will be generally upbeat, melodic, enjoyable and easy to listen to.
The style and sound is unique (string section, oboe and keyboard + backing) and much of the music is new and only performed by Fordante. It forms a great introduction to classical music as it has themes and rhythms that can quickly be caught onto without having to have heard the music before. Musicians are classically trained (two former Birmingham Conservatoire students).
Fordante were formed in 2008 and are developing their audience and were nominated for Best Small Ensemble and won Best New Music at the Buxton Festival Fringe in 2010 being invited back to be part of their 2011 Festival opening.
