Happy Kampers (Street Theatre)

Combining performance and instillation arts with a Lo-Tech Do-It-Yourself aesthetic, scenery and props unfold in the space. Behind the disguise of a glamorous girl band lie three normal girls frustrated by the trivial and mundane within everyday life (think Cheryl Cole in Aldi frustrated by her malfunctioning sat nav). They still go camping and like a good bargain. Inspired by vintage trends the work aims to evoke a nostalgic reaction with humorously uplifting moments. Our work is technologically understated, topical, fictional, easy to watch, quirky and free of a linear narrative. It will combine elements of theatre and dance and may include a love scene on roller skates.
