Kimmy Sue Anne, stand up character comedian/poet,she engages the audience in her views on the world which have a social and environmental theme to them. As a ‘teen’ poet with a social conscience she brings a fresh look at how we view the young of today in an entertaining, interactive, engaging and humorous way.
As a freelance artist Louise Stokes is a trained actor, published author and stand up comedian. She is also co-founder/co-director of LouDeemY productions which has been writing/performing/filming/producing short films which include poetry, drama, monologue, and comedy since October 2010. Much of my writing and performance work is issue- based; as Kimmy Sue Anne I explore social, environmental, political and mental health issues with her poems. She has had several pieces written in the Birmingham Mail, been interviewed on Radio 5,WM (Janice Long, Ed Doolan) and other local radio stations, appeared on Central News (as part of ArtsFest 2010) and Inside Out (BBC1) regarding her experiences of bullying and how these have led to her creative writing/performance/comedy career.
