Rumchum Theatre Company was founded in 2011 by Perry Moore and John Richard Glover. Our ambition is to bring an eclectic mix of different styles of theatre and performance to the people of Birmingham, the West Midlands & Warwickshire. Our mission is to work with local actors, directors, performers and new playwrights.
This is one of Chekhov’s one act plays, an unquestionable comedy. The Bear condenses so much of human nature into this short, comical, bizarre, and ultimately triumphant act. Chekhov demonstrates how close (at times) is the relationship between anger and passion, and how strange and wonderful is the human condition.
