ACE Music and Dance

Performers of all ages from across ACE dance and music’s Class Programme will share the fresh new pieces they’ve been working on. With performances from our Funky Fusion kids, to our internationally touring youth dance company ACE Youth, to our Adults’ African dance and drumming group Impulse, there is sure to be something to appeal to all. The selection of works on offer will also show Birmingham residents how they can get involved and get dancing! Founded in 1996, ACE dance and music (African Cultural Exchange Ltd.) is a professional dance Company based at The Link, Digbeth in B’ham. Under the artistic direction of Gail Parmel & musical direction of Ian Parmel, ACE dance and music fuse traditional African & Caribbean dance aesthetic with contemporary techniques to create high-quality innovative performance work, outreach & education programmes for adults and young people in a variety of settings within B’ham, the West Midlands, across the UK and in mainland Europe. ACE’s work involves dance & music collaborations, the use of digital media & techniques from other disciplines including theatre.
